Is it possible to track my mailings on the optilyz platform?

No. Since we send exclusively with dialog mail (Dialogpost), tracking via the platform is unfortunately not possible.

However, there are external options, such as the AM.portal (electronic order management) or Deutsche Post's TRACK & MATCH product.


What is the AM.portal and how can I access it?

The AM.portal is Deutsche Post's electronic order management system, which you can use to independently check and track the shipment status of your postal items.

Note: This is only possible if you are in possession of the Deutsche Post Postcard.


Important: The portal can usually only tell you whether a mailing has arrived at the mail center and when the postal item left this center for delivery. AM.portal does not provide a concrete statement as to whether it has actually arrived at the recipient, as this is not trackable.


So if you have a Postcard, you can request access to the AM.portal there. Possibly someone at your company already has admin access, so it is also worth asking internally in advance.

What is TRACK & MATCH?

TRACK & MATCH is also a Deutsche Post product and another way to track the shipment status of your mailings. TRACK & MATCH shows you how many items are currently being sorted at the mail center and are expected to go into delivery the next day. 

Here, too, it is important to know: There is no concrete statement here either as to whether your mailing has really reached the recipient.


How can I use TRACK & MATCH in combination with optilyz?

Only mailings that can be automated are eligible for TRACK & MATCH. Another requirement is the use of DP franking or PREMIUMADRESS, an additional service offered by Deutsche Post for marking your items with a data matrix code. It is important that the correct product key for TRACK & MATCH and a unique shipment number are included.


Important: Please contact your optilyz contact person to use TRACK & MATCH, as this may require our print service providers to be activated at your end so that you can receive and evaluate the data.


Please note: Due to the increased manual effort we have to charge a processing fee of 150,00 € per mailing. Therefore, always weigh up whether tracking is absolutely necessary for you. Especially with regard to regular automations with smaller and medium volumes, this fee is a cost item that is not necessarily worthwhile in relation to the benefit behind it, since tracking can never tell you 100% whether and when a shipment has actually landed with the recipient.
