The xz backdoor vulnerability is a security flaw that has been identified on 29th of March 2024 in certain software systems. This backdoor allows unauthorized access to a system, potentially leading to data breaches or other malicious activities. It is tracked as CVE-2024-3094 by the United States' National Cybersecurity FFRDC.


optilyz is not affected by the recent security concern related to the xz backdoor vulnerability. Your data and our systems remain secure and unaffected. We mainly base our systems on Amazon Linux which is not affected at all:

AWS Security Bulletin — AWS-2024-002. 

We also verified that our systems that do not run on Amazon Linux are not impacted either.
